Path of Exile 2 Early Access FAQ

With Path of Exile 2 launching in Early Access in just two weeks, we're sure you have a lot of burning questions about what to expect. We'll be answering some of them in this news post. The FAQ will be updated with more answers up until the launch day.

Early Access Launch Details

Path of Exile 2 will launch in Early Access at 11am December 6th PST (Dec 06, 2024 7:00 PM GMT) on all supported platforms, including:

  • Standalone PC client
  • Steam and Epic Games Store clients
  • Xbox Series X/S
  • PlayStation 5

Unfortunately, Path of Exile 2 will not be available on MacOS at the start of Early Access, but we're keen to add support for this platform as soon as possible.

Access Requirements

You can join Early Access through one of these methods:

  • Purchasing one of the new Early Access Supporter Packs
  • Having spent $480 USD or more in lifetime purchases on a single platform in Path of Exile 1
  • Having purchased a top-tier supporter pack for $480 USD in the past

Please note that the threshold is the same for all countries and does not take regional prices into account.

Purchase Verification

You can check your past purchases by visiting Your Account on the website and selecting "View transactions". Valid purchases include any purchase made with dollars instead of points. Points keys redeemed on your account will not contribute to this total.

Please note that lifetime purchases only count the packs and purchases made prior to the release of Path of Exile 2 Early Access Supporter Packs.

Platform-Specific Information

Game Content

Even in Early Access, Path of Exile 2 includes:

  • Three Acts campaign with rich endgame content
  • 50 unique boss encounters
  • Around 400 monster types
  • Couch co-op mode available from the start

Early Access Duration and Progress

  • Expected to run for at least 6 months
  • No character wipes during Early Access
  • Characters will remain in "Early Access" league

Microtransactions and Stash Tabs

Path of Exile 1 microtransactions and stash tabs will be partially available in Path of Exile 2:

  • Recent MTXs and all stash tabs will be initially available
  • Older MTXs will be added gradually during Early Access
  • Stash tabs will be updated for Path of Exile 2's content
  • New microtransactions planned for later in Early Access

Additional Information

  • No NDA - streaming and content sharing is allowed
  • Unique Item and Divination Card designs will be available later
  • Early Access keys cannot be obtained through requests
